Effects of different concentrations of Sanjivani along with Rhizobium on the Yield of Lentil

The present study has been conducted during the rabi season of 2013-14 at the experimental farm of Integrated Rural & Tribal Development and Management Faculty Centre of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Morabadi, Ranchi, Jharkhand. The treatments used for the study were : T1Rhizobium inoculation and 10% Sanjivani , T2– Only 10% Sanjivani, T3Rhizobiuminoculation and 15% Sanjivani, T4– 15% Sanjivani, T5Rhizobium inoculation and 20% Sanjivani, T6– 20% Sanjivani and T7– Control (without any treatment). Pant Lentil- 639 (PL-639) variety was employed as seeding material for the experiment by adopting Randomized Block Design with three replications for each treatment. Results were found to be significant in case of yield for almost all treatments although other yield contributing attributes like days to 50% flowering, days to first pod set and seed test weight were found to be non-significant. As per the experimental findings, T3 (Rhizobium inoculation and 15% Sanjivani) and T4 (only 15%Sanjivani) treatments required minimum days for the initiation of 50% flowering among the plant population. Highest yield (1288 kg/ha) was recorded for T1 treatment where seeds were inoculated with Rhizobium and 10% Sanjivani was applied.
