The present investigation has been conducted during the rabi-summer season of 2015-2016 at the Experimental plot of F/C: Integrated Rural & Tribal Development and Management of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Morabadi, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Different organic growing conditions were used as treatments viz. T1: Fym @ 10 t.ha-1 and Wood Ash @ 10 t.ha-1.. T2: T1 + Shasyagavya (15%) four +dry paddy straw mulching  T3: T1+ Biofertilizer (Azotobacter) + Shasyagavya (15%) +dry paddy straw mulching ]. T4: T1 + Biofertilizer (Azotobacter) + Shasyagavya (15%)  + fermented mustard oil cake solution (10%) + dry paddy straw mulching. Nine varieties of tomato viz Pusa Ruby(V1), Swarna lalima (V2), PKM-1 (V3), S-22 (V4), ArkaRakshak (V5), Swarna Ratan (V6), Frontier: F1 hybrid (V7), Navadai (V8) and Patharkuchi(V9) were used as planting material for the experiment by adopting Split Plot Design with three replications. Several yield and quality attributing characters of the crop were studied. Results found to be significant in all of the studied characters of both yield and quality parameters. Maximum values for polar diameter (6.23cm) in T1 of V2, plant height (94.33 cm) in T2 of V9, individual fruit weight (154.33 g) in T3 of V2, (TSS (8.170 Brix) in T4 of V8, Ascorbic acid (46.20 mg.100g-1) in T2 of V6, Total sugar (8.92.%) in T4 of V3 Reducing sugar (3.3%) in T2 of V6 and tritable acidity (1.12%) in T3 of V8, Lycopene (2.52 mg.100g-1) in T2 of V1 were recorded in different organic growing condition. Highest yield of Tomato (56.97 t.ha-1) was recorded in T4 of V2 (Swarna Lalima). From the study, it was revealed that the T4 of V2 the best treatment in terms of B: C ratio (7.77) followed by T2 of V2 (6.83), T4 of V5 (6.24), T3 of V2 (6.12) as against the lowest T2 of V7 (0.91). From the study it was found that T4 (T1 + Biofertilizer (Azotobacter) + Shasyagavya (15%) + fermented mustard oil cake solution (10%) + dry paddy straw mulching) as the best treatment and V2 (Swarna Lalima) as the best performer variety under organic management conditions than the remaining eight varieties of the crop.

Key words: Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum, Varieties, Organic Farming, Yield, Quality, B: C Ratio.
