Applications are invited from candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria for admission to PhD in Horticulture (Vegetable Science) for the academic-session 2024-25.
Eligibility to Apply
- M Sc. in Horticulture (Vegetable Science) / M Sc. Ag. in Horticulture (Vegetable Science) with minimum 55% marks or equivalent,
- Successful clearance of Research Eligibility Test (RET) to be conducted by RKMVERI. Candidates with MPhil / NET / GATE / SLET / SET or equivalent will be exempted from the RET.
Areas of Research
Varietal screening of vegetable crops under organic/natural farming (Organic/Natural PoPs of vegetables); Collection, evaluation & characterization of local germplasms of indigenous vegetables
Scholarship
Candidates without UGC / CSIR / ICAR fellowship, if found academically bright and motivated for research, may be considered for scholarship of Rs. 15,000/- per month
How to Apply
- New applicants have to first register (https://isr.rkmvu.ac.in/admission/register) on the Online Admission Portal, then login and fill up the online application form.

- After successfully submitting the application form, pay the application fee (INR 1000.00) online from the same Portal. Link can be found under ‘Options’ next to the program name on the Dashboard.
- While filling up the online application-form attach the scanned copies of your passport size photo, mark-sheets and other applicable certificates/documents.
- Once Application-form is successfully submitted and application-fee is paid, Receipt (also Application-summary) will be available for download from the same Portal from the ‘Dashboard‘.
- Download the filled form and send the same along with self-attested certificates and mark sheets to the “Administrative Head, ARTD Faculty Centre, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi – 834008″.
- Admit Card: will be available for download when the dates for Admission Test / Interview are announced. Check the Website / Admission Portal regularly for updates.
